Another final piece concept continuing with the themes of life cycles (products, ideas, materials…)

I was not so pleased with the results from my artificially lit  Night Mac arrangment  and how the concept was conveyed along with how clear the electronic elements were captured.
So I went to the woodland by the local ski slope during the day  to retry  the mac arrangement in better light and weather. I tried a few different arrangements of the Mac parts and experimented with the framing of the photo and how much of the surroundings to show to give the arrangement different focus and context.
I am very pleased with how the results look. I really like the contrasting texture of the natural and earthy autumnal leaves and the manmade synthetic computer parts, which is what I aimed to capture in these outcomes. 

Went back to Serpentine woods to try the mac composition. It was dark & horrible stormy weather aagain.. so thought I would try capture this element in these creepy woods… 
I experimented with long exposure on a tripod (was pitch black), artificial light - flash and directive torch light and and gel light filters.  

Tried out some Richard Long style shots, testing location and contrast of settings, I really like the contrast of the autumnal leaves. Pleased with these results, really captures the sense of a burial space…
